Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a M2-2. Minimum $78,000 to maximum $117,000 annually.
The Unit
Manager/Chief Technologist - Pediatric Sleep Lab will report to and
assist the Patient Care Manager and Medical Director in providing
effective, front-line, unit-based management in the Pediatric Sleep
Laboratory through the effective and efficient management of human,
material and financial resources. Responsibilities include the
coordination of clinical activities by providing day-to-day guidance and
support for the staff working on the unit, staff scheduling and
attendance of multidisciplinary meetings. The Unit Manager/Chief
Technologist will maintain open and timely communication with the
multidisciplinary team, Patient Care Manager, and Medical Director. The
Unit Manager/Chief Technologist will work with the Patient Care manager,
Medical Director, and multidisciplinary team in ensuring a cohesive
team environment.
Registered
Polysomnographic Technologist certification is required. Diploma,
Baccalaureate, Masters or Doctoral degrees in a health related science
is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory. A minimum
of three years of full-time recent clinical experience in a Sleep
Laboratory is preferred. Demonstrated evidence of leadership and
supervisory skills are required. Key competencies include the ability to
manage, delegate, and prioritize work effectively. The ability to lead
teams, promote collaboration, identify and implement change is
necessary. The successful candidate must have adequate experience with
the diagnosis and treatment of complex sleep disordered breathing, as
well as, the broad range of sleep disorders, preferably pediatric
related.
