AAST 30th Anniversary Meeting Continuing Education Credits

New Process for Continuing Education Credits

  • CECs are included in the general registration fee for AAST members.
  • The AAST does not require daily sign-in at the annual meeting in order to receive CECs.
  • CECs will be processed electronically after the meeting.
  • AARC CRCE contact hours will still be offered.

Please see below for further details.

The American Association of Sleep Technologists will offer Continuing Education Credits (CECs) to AAST annual meeting attendees who attend the AAST educational courses and sessions. Meeting attendees can earn up to the following number of Continuing Education Credits (CECs) each day of the meeting:

Sunday, June 8 - 7.50 CECs
Monday, June 9 - 5.00 CECs
Tuesday, June 10 - 7.00 CECs
Wednesday, June 11- 7.00 CECs

The AAST Member General Session Registration fee includes CECs. Please note that the fee is not included in the Non-Member Technologist General Session Registration fee. Non-member technologists who are interested in receiving CECs must register and pay for CECs by checking the appropriate box on the registration form and paying the appropriate fee. If non-member technologists do not mark this option on the registration form, they will not receive a certificate of attendance awarding CECs. An application has been submitted to the (AARC) for CRCE contact hours for respiratory therapists.

AAST members and non-member technologists who pay for CECs will receive a CEC reference form at the registration desk upon check-in at the Baltimore Convention Center. The form is for reference only. Please do not turn in the form. The form will assist with tracking which sessions you attended. After the meeting, you will log on to an electronic system to claim your CECs and complete the meeting evaluation.

AAST members and non-member technologists who pay for continuing education credits and would like to receive AARC CRCE contact hours, must complete and return the CRCE credit claim form, which will be distributed at the registration desk upon check-in at the Baltimore Convention Center. The form must be submitted on site after the meeting to receive CRCE contact hours. Your AARC member number is also required in order to receive CRCE contact hours. An AAST representative will be available at the registration desk to collect the forms and offer assistance with any CECs or CRCE-related inquiries.

Continuing education credits for technologists are not available for SLEEP 2008 sessions; they are only offered for the AAST 30th Anniversary Meeting sessions.
