AAST Memorial Program

The AAST Board of Directors developed a new program to honor deceased members of the association and provide current members with an opportunity to receive a scholarship to attend the AAST Annual Meeting. The purpose of this program is to provide the association with a vehicle to remember and honor AAST leaders, for their commitment and immeasurable contributions to the association as well as many years of ongoing service and dedication to the organization and the sleep technology profession.

AAST Memorial Honoree

Members of the AAST are encouraged to honor a deceased friend and/or colleague by completing a Memorial Program Submission Form. Once approved, the honoree’s name will be announced to the membership at the AAST Annual Meeting, listed on the AAST Web site and published in A2Zzz.The donation in the name of the honoree will be placed in the memorial scholarship fund. In addition, a picture of the honoree will be placed in the Memorial Album located in the national office.

Application Procedure:

  1. Any member can honor a deceased leader of the association by downloading the Memorial Program Submission Form.
  2. The deceased/honoree must have been an AAST member in good standing for five or more years.
  3. The deceased/honoree must have served the AAST in a leadership capacity.
  4. The completed application must be sent to:

    American Association of Sleep Technologists
    Attention: Memorial Program
    One Westbrook Corporate Center
    Suite 920
    Westchester, IL 60154

  5. A minimum donation/contribution of $100, in the name of the honoree, will need to accompany the application form. These funds are designated to sponsor scholars to attend the annual meetings. Contributions to the AAST Memorial Fund are not tax deductable.
