Sleep Lab in Gainesville, GA has an immediate opening for a full-time Polysomnography Technician. At least one year of experience in sleep medicine, respiratory therapy, or similar healthcare field preferred. The sleep technician is responsible for data collection during overnight sleep studies. The technician applies monitoring electrodes and uses ancillary monitoring devices to perform attended studies. Throughout the sleep study, the technician continuously monitors and documents patient activity to ensure patient safety and the production of quality recordings. Equipment maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting may be necessary in order to achieve optimal data collection. The sleep technician review patient records and prepares and generates the reports necessary for interpretation by physicians. Ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and detail oriented and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and durable medical equipment required. Preference given to candidates who are Certified or Registered.
