Case of the Month #1: Split Night Study
Description
The AAST begins a “Case of the Month” educational program with a split night study. The discussion focuses on preparation of the patient, the decision to split and appropriate titration.
Samples from the sleep study are reviewed in detail, and the rationale for increases in pressure is explained.
The actions of the technologist are critiqued in accordance with practice parameters and clinical guidelines.
