CELEBRATE SLEEP TECHNOLOGIST APPRECIATION WEEK WITH THESE TIPS

This year’s Sleep Technologist Appreciation Week (STAW) will take place October 27 – November 2. Whether you’re looking to thank your favorite sleep technologist or want to appreciate your team members all week long at your sleep center, here are a few ways you can join AAST in celebrating STAW and show your sleep technologists that you care.

1. Thank You Notes

thank you

A handwritten thank you note is a nice surprise and a change from all the emails that flood our inboxes every day. Taking the time to write a thank you note and tell someone how much you appreciate them is a small, yet thoughtful way to acknowledge a staff member or a fellow sleep technologist.

2. Treat Yourself or Your Staff to a Treat

Celebrations call for some sweet treats and STAW is no exception. Make some baked goods for your team or treat yourself to your favorite dessert. Consider getting together with your fellow sleep technologist friends and having a bake off or cookie exchange.

3. Hand Out Awards

Trophy-1

Host a mini awards ceremony at your center. Print off appreciation certificates or give out trophies to your team members as a way to let them know their hard work is appreciated and noticed.

4. Participate in #STAW2019 on AAST Social Media

Follow AAST on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for a STAW takeover. Be on the lookout for flash sales on AAST and STAW swag, discounts on educational resources and membership renewal perks. Be sure to share photos from your celebration with AAST on social media using #STAW2019.

5. Give the Gift of a Textbook

What better way to celebrate a sleep technologist than by treating them to the latest version of the Fundamentals of Sleep Technology. The textbook has been updated to reflect current practices and the latest technology and includes topics that expand on new, broader roles and responsibilities for sleep technologists.
