How The AAST is Supporting Truck Driver OSA Screening

Sleep Technologist Advice

Why supporting truck driver OSA screening really matters

The American Association of Sleep Technologists recently voiced its support for the many professional societies and individuals that have also recommended the screening, evaluation and treatment of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other sleep disorders that can increase the risk of motor vehicle crashes.

See the pdf below to see what the American Association of Sleep Technologists submitted to the Department of Transportation.

The AAST also wrote a response to the  Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration call for comments.  Check out the pdf below:

The AAST is always actively representing the interests of its members. Want to learn more about the issue of truck driver OSA screening?  Now, for a limited time until July 31, AAST members can purchase this online learning module for $10.
