Best Sleep Medicine Conferences for CEC's: National, Regional, & Local

Sleep Technologist Advice


We frequently get this question at the AAST asking about where technologists can attend a sleep conference in order to learn the greatest and the latest about sleep technology. The other question is how many continuing education credits (CEC's) one can get by attending each of these programs. We have provided a list of the best sleep medicine conferences that are available through 2016 as of this published post.

National Sleep Conferences

  • AAST 38th Annual Meeting:  Colorado Convention Center – Denver, Colorado    June 12 - 14, 2016. The AAST Annual Meeting is the longest running professional conference for sleep technologists. Regional Sleep Conferences

  • Southern Sleep Society 38th Annual Meeting:  The Southern Sleep Society is pleased to invite you to participate in its 38th Annual Meeting and Technologist Course on April 7-10, 2016 at Renaissance Asheville Hotel in Asheville, NC.   • Missouri Sleep 2016 Conference:  The Missouri Sleep Society (MSS) and Saint Louis University School of Medicine will be hosting a joint conference, Missouri Sleep 2016 April 9-10, 2016 on the campus of Saint Louis University. This is our eighth annual conference we have held for the members of our society, as well as other sleep professionals and health care providers in the state and region. Dr. Ron Chervin, the President- elect for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine will be our keynote speaker. The conference is planning to have speakers representing a full range of sleep professionals, including Sleep Dentists, Sleep Psychologist, Sleep Technicians, Sleep Physicians, Sleep NP/PA, and Sleep Researchers. Currently we have speakers from Saint Louis, Kansas City, Mid-Missouri, and Southern Missouri along with speakers involved in all 4 physician sleep medicine fellowships in Missouri.The conference will offer a total of 12 CME hours.
