Top 7 Sleep Technology Conferences to Attend in 2017


The Sleep Medicine industry is constantly changing, and it's essential that you stay up-to-date on the latest trends. To do this, you should take advantage of conferences where you'll not only stay current, but also network with peers and learn from industry professionals.

1. American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST) 39th Annual Meeting

This conference for sleep technologists is the longest running one of them all and includes discussions, courses and exhibits covering the latest sleep medicine news and your evolving role as a sleep technologist. This conference will be held in conjunction with the SLEEP 2017 conference, and attendees will have the opportunity to access the SLEEP 2017 exhibit hall to see the latest developments in the industry.

You can choose between two tracks: management and pediatrics. This will enable you to get exactly what you need out of the conference based on your individual goals.

Credits As an AAST member, you'll get free Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for participating in the Annual Meeting and can earn up to 21.25 CECs. Non-members can still recieve these CECs at a reduced rate.

2. AAST 2017 Fall Course

With all the new developments in this rapidly changing industry, AAST has decided to dedicate our 2017 Fall Course to exploring Current Technology Trends in Sleep Medicine. This course is designed to help sleep technologists get insights on how to adapt to current industry trends and best practices.

3. 9th Biennial Pediatric Sleep Medicine Conference

4. Expanding Your Sleep Practice Through Telemedicine

The AASM hosts this conference which is a hands-on course to help you with the tools you need to implement telemedicine into your practice successfully.

5. Sleep 2017

6. Sleep Scoring Workshop

This is a 2-day workshop that is put in place to train you on the standard rules of scoring a polysomnographic study.
