Meet , Dr. Park who will discuss best practices for patient education 

On Tuesday,  June 14th, John Park, MD, will be discussing the most effective methods for educating your patients.

 

About Dr. Park

Dr. Park is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in the division of Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine.  He completed his fellowship training in pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine at Mayo Clinic.

He then remained at Mayo, where he currently spends his clinical time in both the Sleep Clinic and the Medical Intensive Care Unit. He has given numerous talks internationally and has been honored as one of the top 10% of teachers in the Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic for several years.

Here is what Dr. Park will present during Tuesday's general track session on June 14th  from 9 - 10am

Education Techniques

Objectives:

  1. Discuss clinician to patient education, ranging from physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, sleep technologists; and
  2. Determine how to quickly determine what type of learner the clinician is working with at any given time.
