The AAST has established a scholarship in memorial of Rose Ann Zumstein, 8th President (2002-2005) an dedicated leader in the field of sleep technology. Of the applications received, the AAST selected two very deserving sleep technologists to receive the award for the 2015 Fall Course.
Ms. Andrea Ramberg, RPSGT
Ms. Andrea Ramberg knew at a young age that she wanted to help people. She was introduced to the sleep world by shadowing a friend who worked in a sleep center and has had a passion for sleep ever since. Ms. Ramberg began on-the-job training while completing the modules of the A-STEP program and received her RPSGT in May of 2010. Ms. Ramberg currently works for Centegra Health Systems of McHenry, Illinois.
Mr. Muhammad Sagheer Ahmad, RST, RPSGT
Mr. Ahmad began his career in sleep as an on-the-job respiratory therapist trainee. After completing the A-STEP modules, Mr. Ahmad became the first individual from Pakistan to receive his RST and RPSGT certifications. He currently resides and works in Karachi, Pakistan with Electromed Corporation, providing intensive care, sleep and respiratory care equipment and services for patients.
