Membership renewal season is here! Invest in yourself, your career and your profession by renewing as a member of the American Association of Sleep Technology (AAST). We work hard to promote the sleep technologist profession by advancing the education, technical expertise and clinical experience of our members. Every day we focus on preserving the autonomy of the profession by leading and advocating for our more than 4200 members.
The AAST offers many professional benefits to its members. The organization works hard to advocate for the sleep technologist profession. As industry demands change, it’s important that the AAST help Sleep Technologists have a voice. The AAST supports the interests of sleep technologists by providing the education to prepare its members for those changes.
Most recently, the AAST offered the Sleep Care Manager Course at the AAST National Office. This course was developed in response to significant changes in the field of sleep medicine as addressed at the Sleep Technology Summit on September 21, 2013. Summit participants agreed that there was a need to offer practicing technologists training and education for these changing roles through workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs covering areas to include: Core Competencies, Disease Management, Patient Education, and Sleep Management.
The entire Sleep Care Manager Course is available as a series of online modules that include CEC credits, with the exception of the Career Management Module, which is provided free for members and non-members and does not include CEC credits.
To access the free Career Management module, log in to your AAST account, or create a guest account and go to the AAST Online Learning Center.
