"Polysomnographic Procedures"

&

"PAP Titration, Management and Adherence"

Friday, October 7, 2016 3:15-4:15pm

A fundamentals course provides important information, whether you are new to sleep technology or have been in the field for a while.  As a new technologist, you always have a lot to learn. We all know that things don’t always look in the real world like they do in the sleep textbooks.  Having others teach you what their experiences have been is invaluable.

Laree will be covering two diverse topics at the AAST Technologist Fundamentals Fall Course in Cleveland.

First she will review proper recording techniques, documentation, and reporting for a variety of test types, including PSG, CPAP, MSLT, MWT, and HSAT. That is a lot of letters…….   She will be reviewing all of the proper techniques for attaining appropriate recordings as well as the essential documentation and reporting parameters associated with each of these testing modalities.

Later in the program Laree will discuss PAP Titration, Management and Adherence. Her goal for this presentation is to provide guidelines for a proper titration as well as provide tips for participants on how to better keep their patients using and benefitting from PAP therapy.

Even for those technologists who have been in the field for several years, it is good to get back to the basics.  Sometimes we need reminding of the rules, or need to be updated on new information and standards in the sleep field.

We hope you will join us in Cleveland for Laree’s informative presentations!
