Updates from AAST’s Standards and Guidelines Committee

aast

The Standards and Guidelines (SAG) Committee is progressing with our End Tidal CO2 Technical Guideline. We are proud of our work so far and hope to finalize this project very soon. Once completed, we will move on to create a Transcutaneous CO2 Monitoring Technical Guideline. Equally important, we will round out both of these projects by completing core competencies for each of them. After that, we are looking at starting a Medical Documentation Technical Guideline, followed by its associated core competency.

On a side note, we are actively looking for additional volunteers for our committee. Our team has been working together diligently on all projects; however, it would be nice to have more input and assistance on these rewarding projects. Working on the SAG Committee is extremely gratifying. It is a wonderful opportunity to network with exceptional leaders in the field from all over the country, learn from them and give back to a field we all love. I recommend volunteering on a committee to anyone.

For more committee updates, look out for the next issue of A2Zzz magazine at the end of June!
