Frequently Asked Questions: The CCSH Temporary Pathway (CSE Certificate)
BRPT President Daniel Lane answers some of the most frequently asked questions about the CCSH temporary pathway
When does the CSE temporary pathway to sitting for the CCSH exam close?
September 30, 2016.
Do you have to be accepted to take the exam before that date? Or sit and pass the CCSH examination before that date in order to use this temporary eligibility pathway?
The deadline of 9/30/2016 is the deadline by which you must submit your application. You have up to 1 full year to sit for the exam.
If you do not pass the first time how long do you have to wait to sit for it the exam again? You need to wait 24 hours for your exam results to load into our system after which you will be able to log into the portal and click the link to reapply. There is a 7-10 business day turn-around for most applications to be processed.
Why is the temporary pathway closing? We are considering reformatting and updating the CSE online program to reach a broader audience.
If you have participated in the live CSE course and it has been a while, will it help to re-take the online CSE course? It would certainly refresh your memory but you should first review the toolkit and additional resources provided at the course as well as reviewing the CCSH exam preparation materials BRPT offers.
Do you have an on-line CCSH exam prep course?
No. We offer a candidate handbook, study guide, and practice exam. All of those resources can be found here.
