Sleep Tech Appreciation Week (STAW) Has Arrived! This week’s activities are designed to show appreciation for Sleep Technologists and give the sleep community an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments the field has made in sleep disorders centers, laboratories, education facilities and in the AAST.

This sleep technologist course is perfect for brushing up on the fundamentals or preparing for a credentialing exam! Registration for the AAST's 2016 Fall Course, The Sleep Technologist Fundamentals Course is open. Early-bird registrations rates have been extended - register now! During this two-day course (10/7/16 - 10/8/2016) an expert faculty will present a comprehensive review of the basics of polysomnography, including a review of sleep stages and sleep related events, recording procedures and instrumentation, appropriate therapeutic interventions, and strategies for exam success.

She is the President and Technical Director of Sound Sleep Solutions. As Program Director for the Sound Sleep Solutions BRPT STAR Program, she teaches internationally for Maple Respiratory Group in both Colombia and China.

Get to know our Fall Course speaker Byron Jamerson Byron became a sleep technologist in 1986 and has worked in the field for 30 years. He has a special interest in education and strives to break down technical topics to common language to promote understanding. His past experience includes working as a technologist and/or sleep center manager at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Flowers Hospital, and North Alabama Medical Center – all located in Alabama.
